A WORD TO PROFESSIONALS
We want to support the good work that you have begun with your patient by providing the most up to date treatment for anxiety that is evidence-based. We enjoy working with the many professionals from mental health, educational, pastoral and medical settings who entrust us with their client’s care. Your input and feedback before and during the treatment process is invaluable and can accelerate your client’s progress. We will work hard to provide you with timely feedback about our assessment, treatment plan and the patient’s progress so that you can stay well informed should you so desire.
Opportunities for Supervision and Consultation: Anxiety and Agoraphobia Treatment Center staff enjoy training other professionals who want to acquire knowledge and skills in treating anxiety disorders. Many of the senior staff at the Anxiety and Agoraphobia Treatment Center are available to provide you, or your colleagues, on-going supervision in the cognitive behavioral treatment of anxiety disorders of children, teens and adults. Interested therapists may schedule in person or telephone consultations with our staff on either an on-going basis or on an as needed basis. Supervision and consultation is billed at the same hourly rate as for treatment and is calculated in arithmetic rounding for the time needed to complete the supervision or consultation.
Speakers Bureau, Supervision, Professional Workshops, IEP Consultations and Presentations: AATC staff are available for individual supervision and consultation with mental health professionals, teachers and IEP teams. We also enjoy teaching, providing workshops and offering training seminars to mental health, medical and educational professionals. Our training presentations offer specialized and comprehensive education about the anxiety disorders, OC spectrum disorders, body focused repetitive behavior disorders and managing these disorders in the home and in the community. Many of our senior staff are popular speakers who receive repeat requests from professional organizations and school districts for staff training seminars. For more information on arranging individual supervision, consultation or a presentation, please contact Dr. Karen Cassiday at KLCassiday@anxietytreatmentcenter.com or 847-559-0001, ext. 3.
Clergy: The Anxiety and Agoraphobia Treatment Center is committed to providing the highest quality mental health care that respects individual spiritual growth. Our staff are well aware of research that shows that regular participation in a religious community’s prayer, worship and practices can confer a mental and physical health advantage. We have extensive experience and expertise working with patients for whom their anxiety and worry have become an impediment to their faith or their ability to experience the love, forgiveness, community or joy that a healthy spiritual life offers. Obsessive compulsive disorder in the form of scrupulosity, obsessive doubt or compulsive rather than voluntary observance can become excruciatingly painful. You may also have been frustrated by your inability to reassure those who are worried or filled with obsessive doubt. The staff at AATC is here to help you and those to whom you minister. We hope to teach anxious patients who want a faith-based life how to develop a life that is focused upon love, worship and devotion to service rather than focused upon fear and worry. We enjoy working with patients of all faiths and their respective clergy. If you have questions about referring one of your congregation, please call Dr. Karen Cassiday at 847-0001, ext. 3 or email her at KLCassiday@anxietytreatmentcenter.com.
