PSYCHIATRIC CARE WITH DR. ANNA FLYNN

Dr. Anna Flynn offers psychiatric care and consultation for those in need of medication to assist them in improving their mental health. She sees patients in the offices of the Anxiety and Agoraphobia Treatment Center and works closely with the staff of the Anxiety and Agoraphobia Treatment Center to coordinate medication with cognitive behavioral treatment. Dr. Flynn is available for patients who wish to start treatment first with medication; or for those who find that they need medication to assist them in completing their cognitive behavioral programs. She enjoys providing a second opinion for patients who already have a prescribing physician for their psychiatric medications but desire a specialist’s perspective on possible augmentation strategies or novel medication treatments. Dr. Flynn is also here to help those in need of assistance who plan to discontinue medication treatment.

Dr. Anna Flynn has attained the highest level of certification possible in her field in two distinct areas. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both child and adolescent psychiatry and in adult psychiatry. This allows her to serve patients across their lifespan and throughout important transitions, such as moving from home into the college setting. She has served on the faculty of the Medical College of Wisconsin and as the director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Services for the Sinai Samaritan Medical Center and Columbia-St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. Her psychiatric residency training was under the tutelage of one of the top psychiatric teams in the United States at the University of Wisconsin Medical Center in Madison, WI. She has also received academic honors and the Resident of the Year Award during her academic career.

Dr. Flynn enjoys working with children, teens, adults and their families. Her treatment plan is comprehensive and holistic: she considers developmental, biological, psychological and social factors when formulating a treatment plan.
